A view from our deck looking down ont the garden

This photo which is at the entrance to our basement apt. is of my big hydrangea. I only put it in this spot in early May and it barely had a leaf and here we are presenting me with two lovely blooms. Cant wait to see it next year. I was a bit afraid that it wouldn't get enough sun but I knew that they tolerate a lot of shade.

In front of it is another blue hydrangea which I put in after it had finished blooming and it is now in bloom again.

Just loved this climbing rose called the Fourth of July. It is beside the post for the birdhouse so I hope that I can train it to go up that.

Beside this lovely purplish/blue Delphiniums is also a big white one and 2 blue ones have just been planted. This bed was started in the spring of 2006. In the back are roses and clematis .

Back garden in summer 2007

This is in the summer of 2007. If you will view other blogs you will see it from scratch. I started it in late March/early April 2007 and this is about July. The garden has now been extended in front of the basket by a few feet and most of these plants have grown significantly as well as many more have been added.

Since taking this picture, the Daturas have probably tripled in size.

Side Bed

The bed at the side of the house was started from scratch using the lasagne method without digging. The walkway is new as well . Started in the spring of 2008. My camera is in being repaired or I would show how the Datura have come up in gigantic proportions and the garden is half covering the walkway.
